WELCOME TO THE DENTON ROTARY CLUB WEBSITE

The Denton Rotary Club was chartered by Rotary International on May 1, 1920. 2010 will be our 90th year of continuous operation in Denton. Denton Rotary Club was the outstanding club, among 64 clubs, in our district by being awarded the coveted Governor’s Cup for 2008-2009. The Rotary Club of Denton truly makes a difference in Denton, Texas, the United States, and the world. We are involved in projects both local and around the world. For example, we deliver food for the hungry in Denton, supplied water to a small village in Mexico, and built a medical clinic in Nicaragua. We also advocate for high ethical standards among our members. We recite the Four Way Test of the things we think, say, and do each week at our meetings: First, is it the truth? Second, Is it fair to all concerned? Third, Will it build goodwill and better friendships? And Fourth, Will it be beneficial to all concerned. It is a privilege to be a member of the Denton Rotary Club.

The Rotary International theme for 2009-2010 is “The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands.” The goals are clean water, health and hunger, and literacy during the next year. In addition, Rotary is attempting the huge task of eradicating Polio from the world. We are almost there. Would you be willing to help? We would love to hear from you if you think these are things you can support.

You may visit our club at Fremaux’s Metropolitan Catering located at 932 W. University Drive in Denton at noon on Thursday. The telephone number is 940.383.2219. You may call me personally at 940-391-9303. You will find a warm welcome at the Denton Rotary Club!
